Workshop details
The Australian research landscape has changed and continues to move toward a greater emphasis on research engagement and impact. Specifically, we are seeing the ARC Assessment process for Engagement an Impact as well as the NHMRC impact case studies as part of a researcher track record.
The advent of this impact requirement brings with it the need to support and capture research impact at the organisational level.
This workshop co-hosted with Dr David Phipps, an international expert in translation and impact, will delve into the institutional policies and strategies around supporting research engagement and impact activities.
This is a unique opportunity to learn strategies to support impact from a dynamic, engaging and knowledgeable facilitator.

This half day interactive workshop uses the Institutional Impact Health workbook from Emerald Publishing to explore the many considerations and opportunities for supporting research impact.
This session will explore:

  • Impact literacy and its core requirements
  • What is an impact-healthy institution?
  • What is an unhealthy institution?
  • Engagement and co-production
  • Strategy and leadership
  • Impact roles
  • Level of impact understanding
  • Impact skills and development
